Chris Dougherty

Chris Dougherty is a technical education and media consultant to the RV Industry. He is the former technical editor of MotorHome and Trailer Life Magazines, RVTravel.com, RV Enthusiast Magazine, and an adjunct instructor at the RV Technical Institute. Having started RVing with his family in 1973, he purchased his first RV at age 24 and hasn’t been without one ever since, even spending ten years as a full-time RVer. His professional experience in the industry is well-rounded, having managed an RV park, owned and operated a mobile service business that served New York and New England, served as a dealership service manager, and a writer and educator for the RV industry since 1998.
Dougherty can be seen at RV shows across the Eastern US, including America’s Largest RV Show in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Boston, and Springfield, Massachusetts, Ocean City, Maryland, and in numerous publications and programs like Family RVing Magazine, RV Business Magazine, RV Enthusiast Magazine, RVing in New England, and RVing Today on TV and online. He is an RV technician instructor for the Pennsylvania RV and Camping Association and the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office in Massachusetts. Dougherty and his wife Karen enjoy RVing in their 5th wheel and occasionally in a truck camper on the beach as often as they can.

This seminar introduces the world of RV accessories to people considering the purchase of a new RV, and will focus on items required for RV operation, and/or installed on the RV at the time of purchase or by a certified technician after the sale. Power cords, vents, hoses, chemicals, and more will be included with plenty of time for Q&A.
