Janine Pettit, Camper In Chief
Growing up in a camping family Janine knew first hand the feeling of accomplishment after making camp; the satisfaction of cooking up a meal on the open fire and the inner and outer warmth of a long burning campfire. In 2015 she began sharing her knowledge and encouragement with women who wanted to get out there and ‘’go places and do things’’ in her weekly podcast. In 2020 she launched Girl Camper magazine and brought on “Guides” to host events and inspire women to go camping. Today, Girl Camper is one of the largest outdoor women’s adventure groups in the U.S. with over 8,200 members and chapters in 23 states. Janine likes to say, ‘’There’s no wrong way to camp like a girl’’ and she means it.

Lesa McDermott, Vice President of Operations
An adventure chix at heart, Lesa has done a lot of things in her life from practicing law to teaching skiing.  But her passion is inspiring women to step outside of their comfort zone and experience new things.  An avid camper, she spends more than 100 days a year in her camper or in the backcountry in a hammock.  She started with Girl Camper as the South Dakota guide but quickly moved up to handling the day to day operations.

Hello! We’re the Rizks, a full-time traveling family of six, who quit corporate America and sold everything to explore the U.S. We are George, Maritza, Jaxson, Evalynn, Yazmyn, and Beryn!

We started our YouTube Channel in 2019, which mainly focused on buying and reselling lost treasures with a big ole sprinkle of humor. After the pandemic hit and things began to slow down, we decided that it was time to take our show on the road, and share our love for travel with all of our viewers. It took us about three years to get ready, but once we sold our home, we jumped head first into the RV life and haven’t looked back! There is so much to see and do in this beautiful country and we had to make sure our kids see all the best parts of it. We have a long journey ahead, and you are invited to join by following us. Our favorite part is we’ve only just begun.

Now that RV Unplugged season 2 has ended, we’ll be hitting the road with a purpose and passion to live up to our channel’s motto: “Go Happy, Go Healthy, Go Bimble.”  We’ll be sharing the struggles we all have trying to stay healthy as we RV. Let’s share the best ways to incorporate small steps each day to prolong our lives, so we can BIMBLE across the country together as long as possible.

Our RVs don’t sit & let the grass grow underneath them. We’ve owned five campers so far: two Fifth Wheels, a Class A Gas, a Class A Diesel Pusher, and then back to a Travel Trailer.

We have five kids, young adults & teens, and our crew changes each time we go.

We hope to inspire the experiences-over things mindset & focusing on what’s truly important; family time and lasting memories.
